Learn how to wash, dry, and store your Bala Wavy Mat Towel to keep it fresh, absorbent, and ready for every workout.
Quick Answer
Machine wash your Wavy Mat Towel in cold water on a gentle cycle, tumble dry on low, and store it rolled or folded in a dry, ventilated place.
Why Care Matters
The Wavy Mat Towel from Bala is designed to complement your workout routine, offering a comfortable surface during exercise or yoga sessions. Proper care keeps it fresh and functional for every session.
Regular washing removes sweat and oils, while correct drying prevents mildew and maintains the towel's softness. Storage choices also affect how quickly it dries between uses.
Trade-offs: Machine vs. Hand Washing
Machine washing is convenient and thorough, but the gentle cycle and cold water are essential to protect the towel's fibers. Hand washing uses more time but gives you control over delicate spots.
If you use a dryer, low heat is key—high heat can shrink or damage the fabric. Air drying is gentler but takes longer, so plan ahead if you practice daily.
Wavy Mat Towel FAQ
- How do I wash the Wavy Mat Towel?
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners, which can break down fibers and reduce absorbency. Check the care label before the first wash.
- Can I dry the towel in a dryer?
- Yes, tumble dry on low heat. Remove promptly to prevent wrinkles. Air drying on a line is a gentler alternative that saves energy. If air drying, reshape the towel while damp to keep its wavy pattern.
- How should I store the mat towel?
- Store it completely dry in a cool, dry place. Roll it loosely or fold it flat to avoid creases. Avoid leaving it in a damp gym bag. Hang it briefly after each use to air out before storing.
